FY26 HSC Priority Booking Schedule
To prioritize student access and allow for a successful transition into the new building, reservations from departments outside of University Student Services (USS) will be accepted starting October 15, 2025. This initial period ensures students have the opportunity to engage fully with the space during its early launch phase.
Priority Scheduling Access
Similar to other high-demand campus facilities, the Hopkins Student Center will follow a phased scheduling approach to ensure fair access and intentional use of space, especially as we launch. To help manage this process and support a successful opening, space reservations in the Hopkins Student Center will be limited to designated users during the early months. Here’s what to know:
- Now through June 30:
- All Hopkins Student Center space requests in 25Live must be submitted through the single HSC request option listed. A scheduler will review your request and assign a space based on availability and event needs.
- Please note: Submitting a request does not guarantee availability. You’ll receive an email confirmation once your reservation is reviewed and approved.
- Who Can Reserve:
- Student Organizations: Only officially recognized student organizations with a designated scheduling representative on file may submit requests to book space in the building.
- Huddle Spaces: These casual, drop-in areas will be available to all students via same-day Express Scheduling on a first-come, first-served basis, no approval required.
- University Departments: JHU departments outside of University Student Services (USS) may submit requests beginning October 15.
- What Others Can Access:
- Starting after June 30, all students will be able to view spaces in 25Live to see what events and activities are taking place in the Hopkins Student Center. If you have questions about eligibility or how to book, please reach out to our team. However, only designated student representatives and approved departments will be able to submit reservation requests (see above).
This scheduling process is designed to support a smooth launch while ensuring that spaces are used intentionally and equitably. View our step-by-step Priority Scheduling Guide for more information on how to reserve space. If you have questions about eligibility or how to book, please reach out to our Scheduling and Event Services team.

- Start with a Keyword Search
Use specific keywords like “Hopkins Student Center”, “HSC” - Use the Availability View
Switch to the “Availability (Daily)” or “Calendar” view for a clear visual of when spaces are open. It’s a quicker way to see what’s available at a glance. - Submit Your Request Early
High-demand spaces book quickly, especially during busy times in the semester. Request your space as early as possible to get the time and location you need. - Be Specific in Your Request
Provide as much detail as you can when submitting your reservation—expected headcount, setup needs, equipment, and any special considerations. This helps speed up the approval process.
- Look for a Confirmation Email
Submitting a request is not the same as having a confirmed reservation. Watch for an email confirmation once your request has been reviewed and approved. - Include Pre and Post Event Time
Be sure to factor in time before and after your event for setup and teardown. This avoids scheduling conflicts and gives you the time you need to prepare. - Save Favorite Locations
You can “star” your favorite spaces in 25Live to easily access them again in the future. This is especially helpful if you regularly host meetings or events. - Use 25Live on Mobile
25Live is mobile-friendly, so you can browse availability or submit a request right from your phone or tablet—no laptop required.
As the “living room” of the University, the Student Center will be the go-to space for engaging, creating, and cultivating belonging for the Blue Jay community.
